The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl are the latest names to join the cast of The Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker at HBO Max.
Peacemaker, who will appear on the big screen/HBO Max in The Suicide Squad on 6th August 2021, is a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The exact plot of the series, much like the upcoming Suicide Squad film, is being kept under wraps but it is being described as an action-adventure-comedy.
Besides the names of the characters they’ll be playing, there wasn’t any further details about who the new additions will be playing. Chukwudi Iwuji (whose credits include Designated Survivor and The Underground Railroad) will be playing the role of Clemson Murn, Lochlyn Munro (whose credits include Riverdale and the Good Doctor) will be playing the role of detective Larry Fitzgibbon, Annie Chang (whose credits include Shades of Blue and Grey’s Anatomy) will be playing the role of detective Sophie Song, and Christopher Heyerdahl (whose credits include Van Helsing and Togo) will be playing the role of Captain Locke.
James Gunn will be writing the eight-episode series and will be directing most of it. James Gunn will also serve as executive producer alongside The Suicide Squad producer Peter Safran, and John Cena will serve as co-executive producer. Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television will produce.
