Moon Knight: Justin Benson And Aaron Moorhead Set To Direct Several Episodes For Marvel Series At Disney+

The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have signed up to direct several episodes for the Marvel series Moon Knight.

Introduced to Marvel comic fans back 1975, created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Moon Knight focuses on Marc Spector, a mercenary who’s left for dead in the Egyptian desert and saved by the moon god Khonshu. Even as Marc returns home and becomes a costumed crime-fighter, the series will explore whether he’s truly empowered by Khonshu or simply insane.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are very interesting filmmakers to have attached to this series, particularly if you are a fan of their sci-fi/horror hybrid indie films such as Resolution, Spring and The Endless. They’ll be joining Mohamed Diab as directors on the series, with Diab also directing a number of episodes.

Jeremy Slater, who developed and wrote Netflix’s adaptation of the comic book property The Umbrella Academy, has been attached to develop the project and lead the writing team for the Marvel series.

So far the only person cast for the series is Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight.
