Black Site: Jason Clarke, Michelle Monaghan And Jai Courtney To Star In Action Thriller

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Jason Clarke, Michelle Monaghan and Jai Courtney are set to star in action-thriller Black Site.

Black Site focuses on a group of officers based in a labyrinthine top-secret CIA black site who must fight for their lives in a cat-and-mouse game against Hatchet, a brilliant and infamous high-value detainee. When Hatchet escapes, his mysterious and deadly agenda has far-reaching and dire consequences.

The film is written by Jinder Ho, with Sophia Banks attached to direct. The film is the first feature for Asbury Park Pictures, the join venture between Thunder Road Films and Redbox Entertainment. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Mike Gabrawy will serve as producers under the Asbury banner, alongside Todd Fellman for Story Bridge Films. Andrew C. Coles of The Mission Entertainment will serve as executive producer, alongside Asbury’s co-president of production, Jonathan Fuhrman, and Randy Simon.

Producer Erica Lee released a statement about Sophia Banks’s attachment to the project, saying:

We were huge fans of her shorts and have been looking for the right project to collaborate on. Sophia has a distinct visual approach and her take on Black Site blew us away.

Production on Black Site is scheduled to commence next month on the Gold Coast, Australia.
