Deadline is exclusively reporting that Nhut Le is the latest name to join the cast of The Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker at HBO Max.
Peacemaker, who will appear on the big screen/HBO Max in The Suicide Squad on 6th August 2021, is a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
Nhut Le (whose credits include The Kroll Show and Raven’s Home) will be recurring as Judomaster, a character that first debut in DC Comics back in 1965 and was created by Joe Gill and Frank McLaughlin. There are a few iterations of Judomaster, with the original being Hadley ‘Rip Jagger, a sergeant in the U.S Army during World War II, that became a member of the All-Star Squadron. Other iterations included an unnamed vigilante, Sonia Sato, and Tommy Jagger, Rip’s son.
James Gunn is writing the eight-episode series and directing most of it. James Gunn will also serve as executive producer alongside The Suicide Squad producer Peter Safran, and John Cena will serve as co-executive producer. Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television will produce.
Nhut Le will join a cast that includes John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang, Christopher Heyerdahl, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji.
