It’s been confirmed that Chloé Zhao’s Golden Globe-winning drama Nomadland will be released in the UK on Disney+ offshoot Star on the 30th April, with the film also set for a cinematic release in the UK and Ireland once venues are allowed to reopen.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad.
Currently the cinemas are set to reopen on the 17th May, but as always with how the government has handled the COVID pandemic in the UK, that’s subject to change, but for film lovers out there this announcement from Disney+ comes as welcome news that will be getting an award-winning film as part of the subscription service (if you have it of course).
Nomadland stars Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Linda May, Charlene Swankie and Bob Wells.
