Deadline is reporting that Forest Whitaker is the latest name to join the cast of Netflix action thriller Havoc.
The story of the film is set after a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.
The report doesn’t state what role Forest Whitaker (whose recent credits include Godfather of Harlem and Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Story) will be playing in the film. He will be starring alongside Tom Hardy.
The film will be written and directed by Gareth Evans, who will also be producing under the One More One Productions alongside Tom Hardy, Ed Talfan for Severn Screen and Aram Tertzakian for XYZ Films.
