Variety is exclusively reporting that Ron Livingston, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso are the latest names to join the cast for the upcoming DC film The Flash at Warner Bros.
While the synopsis for the film hasn’t officially been revealed yet, it is known that the film will involve alternate dimensions and time travel with Barry Allen trying to save his mother from being murdered.
The report states that Ron Livingston (whose recent credits include A Million Little Things and Loudermilk) will be playing the role of Barry Allen’s father Henry Allen, replacing Billy Crudup who had to depart the project due to scheduling conflicts. The report states that the roles for Saoirse-Monica Jackson (whose credits include Derry Girls and There You’ll Find Me) and Rudy Mancuso (whose credits include Rim of the World and Tempo) are currently undisclosed. The report also states that Ian Loh has also joined the cast to portray the young Barry Allen.
The screenplay is written by Christina Hodson, with Andy Muschietti set to direct. The new additions will join a cast that includes Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons and Maribel Verdú.
The Flash is currently scheduled for cinematic release on the 3rd June 2022.
