Obi-Wan Kenobi: Lucasfilm Announce Latest Cast Additions As Disney+ Series Sets To Begin Production In April

Lucasfilm have announced that Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie are the latest names to join the cast for the Disney+ Star Wars limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi, which will begin production this coming month.

The upcoming limited series is said to be set ten years after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Though we know who has now been added to the cast, it’s still unknown as to who the majority of them will be playing in the upcoming limited series, with Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse reprising their roles of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru they played in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

The series is being written by Joby Harold and will be directed by Deborah Chow, with them also serving as executive producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan and Ewan McGregor.
