Quantum Spy: Lewis Tan To Star As Lead For Series Adaptation Of David Ignatius Novel

Variety is exclusively reporting that Lewis Tan has signed up for the lead role in the series adaptation of the David Ignatius novel Quantum Spy.

.

Lewis Tan (whose recent credits include Wu Assassins and the upcoming Mortal Kombat) will be playing the role of newly-assigned Chinese-American CIA officer Harris Chang, tasked to hunt down the traitor. Soon, he’s caught in an ever-expanding maze of spymasters, assassins and temptations turning the investigation into a personal obsession.

.

Though the series will be action-packed and sexy (the reports words), it will also get to the heart of a timely discussion in content and across the country – what does it mean to be an American hero? Boies/Schiller President, Zack Schiller, will be overseeing the project on behalf of the company alongside Anonymous Content’s Alex Goldstone. Dave Kalstein will be adapting the novel for the series adaptation, as well as executive produce. Lewis Tan will serve as co-executive producer on the pilot.
