Obi-Wan Kenobi: Maya Erskine Joins Cast For Star Wars Series At Disney+

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Maya Erskine is the latest name to join the cast of Star Wars limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi at Disney+.

The upcoming limited series is said to be set ten years after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The report states that Maya Erskine (whose credits include PEN15 and Scoob) will have a supporting role over the course of three episodes, though it hasn’t been revealed who she will be playing.

The series is being written by Joby Harold and will be directed by Deborah Chow, with them also serving as executive producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan and Ewan McGregor.

Maya Erskine will join a cast that includes Ewan McGregorHayden ChristensenIndira Varma, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. Obi-Wan Kenobi is in pre-production and is believed to commence shooting any day now.
