Altitude Films have released the official UK trailer for the upcoming release of the martial arts comedy The Paper Tigers.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
As teenagers, kung fu aficionados Danny, Hing, and Jim were inseparable, but drifted apart after graduation due to a mysterious fallout at an overseas tournament. Fast forward 25 years, and each has grown into a washed-up middle-aged man seemingly one kick away from pulling a hamstring—and not at all preoccupied with thoughts of martial arts or childhood best friends. But when their old master is murdered, the trio will reunite after decades of silence, soon learning that avenging their sifu will require conquering old grudges (and a dangerous hitman still armed with ample knee cartilage) if they are to honourably defend his legacy.
The Paper Tigers is a film I’ve been looking forward to seeing ever since Go USA Entertainment released a trailer for it back in March and, surprisingly, I haven’t heard much about it online across film twitter considering that the film was released in the US in cinemas and digitally in May.
The film is written and directed by Quoc Bao Tran and stars Alain Uy, Jae Suh Park, Joziah Lagonoy, Roger Yuan, Ron Yuan, La’tevin Alexander, Matthew Page and Mykel Shannon Jenkins.
The Paper Tigers will become available digitally on the 20th September 2021.
