Netflix have released the official trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical Tick, Tick…Boom!

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

The film follows Jon, a young theatre composer who’s waiting tables at a New York City diner in 1990 while writing what he hopes will be the next great American musical. With the clock ticking, Jon is at a crossroads and faces the question everyone must reckon with: What are we meant to do with the time we have?

The film is directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, making his directorial feature debut, the adapted screenplay written by Steven Levenson, and stars Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens, Robin de Jesus, Joshua Henry, Judith Light, Bradley Whitford, MJ Rodriguez, Tariq Trotter and Joanna Adler.

Tick, Tick…BOOM! is scheduled for limited cinematic release on the 12th November and will become available on Netflix on the 19th November 2021.
