The Continental will explore the origin behind the hotel-for-assassin, which has become the centrepiece of the John Wick universe. The primary focuses will be on a young Winston Scott, who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.

Colin Woodell (whose credits include The Flight Attendant and The Call Of The Wild) will be playing the role of the young Winston Scott. Hubert Point-Du Jour (whose credits include The Good Lord Bird and Dr. Death) will be playing the role of Miles. Jessica Allain (whose credits include The Laundromat and Archenemy) will be playing the role of Lou. Mishel Prada (whose credits include Vida and Riverdale) will be playing the role of KD. Nhung Kate (whose credits include The Housemaid and Swapping Fate) will be playing the role of Yen. Ben Robson (whose credits include Animal Kingdom and Vikings) will be playing the role of Frankie. They will join recently cast Mel Gibson.

The series is being written by Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward, who will also serve as showrunners as well as executive producers. Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Derek Kolstad, David Leitch, Shawn Simmons, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Albert Hughes will also serve as executive producers.

The Continental will be presented as a three-night event TV series produced for Starz by Lionsgate Television, with Albert Hughes directing ‘Night One’ and ‘Night Three’, with Charlotte Brändström directing ‘Night Two’.
