Netflix have released the official trailer for the upcoming second season of fantasy series The Witcher.
The official synopsis for the second season is as follows:
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
The series is created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, based on the novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski, and the second season will star Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chaltora, Joey Batey, Carmel Laniado, Kim Bodnia, Yasen Atour, Agnes Bjorn, Paul Bullion, Thue Ersted Rasmussen, Aisha Fabienne Ross, Kristofer Hivju, Mecia Simson, Adjoa Anod, Graham McTavish, Kevin Doyle, Cassie Clare, Liz Carr and Simon Callow.
The second season of The Witcher will become available on the streaming service on the 17th December 2021.
