Deadline is reporting that Peter Greene, Ayomide Adegun and Jeremy Bobb are the latest names to join the cast for the upcoming John Wick prequel series The Continental.

The Continental will explore the origin behind the hotel-for-assassin, which has become the centrepiece of the John Wick universe. The primary focuses will be on a young Winston Scott, who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.

Peter Greene (whose recent credits include For Life and Body Brokers) will be playing the role of Uncle Charlie, Ayomide Adegun (making his acting debut) will be playing the role of Charon, and Jeremy Bobb (whose recent credits include Russian Doll and The Outsider) will be playing the role of Mayhew.

The series is being written by Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward, who will also serve as showrunners as well as executive producers. Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Derek Kolstad, David Leitch, Shawn Simmons, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Albert Hughes will also serve as executive producers.

The Continental will be presented as a three-night event TV series produced for Starz by Lionsgate Television, with Albert Hughes directing ‘Night One’ and ‘Night Three’, with Charlotte Brändström directing ‘Night Two’.

The new additions join a cast that includes Mel Gibson, Colin Woodell, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate and Ben Robson.
