Saban Films have released the official trailer for the upcoming thriller Borrego.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Borrego follows a young botanist who relocates to a small desert town to study an invasive plant species. She must fight for her survival when she’s kidnapped by an inexperienced drug mule after his ultralight plane crashes in the desert.

The film is written and directed by Jesse Harris and stars Lucy Hale, Nicholas Gonzalez, Leynar Gómez, Jorge A. Jimenez and Olivia Trujillo.

Borrego is scheduled for release in the US on the 14th January 2022.
