Fatal Attraction: Joshua Jackson Cast As Male Lead For Series Adaptation At Paramount+

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Joshua Jackson has been cast as the male lead opposite Lizzy Caplan in the series adaptation of the 1980’s thriller Fatal Attraction, in development at Paramount+.

The series is set to explore the themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.

Joshua Jackson (whose recent credits include Little Fires Everywhere and Dr. Death) will be playing the role of Dan Gallagher, the object of his lover’s obsession after a brief affair.

Nicole Clemens, President of Paramount+ Original Scripted Series, released a statement saying:

The series is written by Alexandra Cunningham from a story she co-wrote with Kevin J. Hynes. Cunningham will also serve as showrunner and will executive produce alongside Hynes, Amblin Television presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
