The Black Demon: Fernanda Urrejola And Julio Cesar Cedillo Join Cast For Survival Thriller

Variety is exclusively reporting that Fernanda Urrejola and Julio Cesar Cedillo are some of the latest names added to star opposite Josh Lucas in Adrian Grünberg’s upcoming survival thriller The Black Demon.

The film focuses on an oilman who finds himself and his family stranded on a rig where he is targeted by a megalodon, a prehistoric shark.

The report also states that Jorge A. Jimenez, Héctor Jiménez, Raúl Méndez, Edgar Flores, Venus Ariel and Carlos Solórzano are also joining the cast.

Adrian Grünberg released a statement:

The film is developed by Mucho Mas Media and Silk Mass, with Highland Film Group (HFG) co-financing the film alongside Blue Rider Pictures. HFG’s domestic distribution arm, The Avenue, hold the U.S distribution rights and are setting the film for 2023 release.

The film is produced by Javier Chapa (Mucho Mas Media), Jon Silk (Silk Mass) and Petr Jákl (R.U. The Black Demon is written by Boise Esquerra and the film will wrap principal photography at the end of January on location in the Dominican Republic.
