Deadline is exclusively reporting that Eric Bana and Kiernan Shipka have signed up to star in the upcoming thriller Berlin Nobody.

The Berlin-set film will follow American social psychologist Ben Monroe, who investigates a local cult connected to a disturbing event. While he immerses himself into his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy, gets involved with a mysterious local boy, who introduces her to the city’s underground party scene. As these two worlds head towards an intersection, Mazzy finds herself in great danger and Ben will need to race against the clock to save her.

Erica Bana (whose recent credits include The Dry and The Orchard) will be playing the role of Ben, while Kiernan Shipka (whose recent credits include Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Treat) will be playing the role of Mazzy. The film hails from writer-director Jordan Scott, with the script inspired by Nicholas Hogg’s 2015 novel Tokyo.

Scott Free’s Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss are producing the project alongside Aughenschein’s Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo, and Georgina Pope. Augenschein’s Jonathan Saubach will executive produce.

Protagonist and Augenschein will be launching sales for Berlin Nobody at the virtual European Film Market (EFM) next month.
