Deadline is exclusively reporting that Anthony Ramos will be starring opposite Dominique Thorne in the upcoming Disney +/Marvel series Ironheart.

First appearing in Marvel Comics in 2015, Riri Williams is a teenage genius who builds her own version of the Iron Man suit and takes on the name of Ironheart, before taking over Tony Stark as Iron Man for a period of time. The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato.

The report states that the role Anthony Ramos (whose credits include In The Heights and In Treatment) will be playing is being kept under wraps, but according to their sources, the role may be similar to how Jonathan Majors was introduced in Loki, in that the role is not only to be big in the series, but for future Marvel projects going forward.

Chinaka Hodge was recently brought onboard the project to be head writer for the series, and though we’re waiting on a premiere date for the series, we know that Thorne will be introduced to audiences in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
