RoadsideFlix and Vertical Entertainment have released the official trailer for the upcoming thriller Alice.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Alice yearns for freedom as an enslaved person on a rural Georgia plantation under its brutal and disturbed owner Paul. After a violent clash with Paul, she flees through the neighbouring woods and stumbles onto the unfamiliar sight of a highway, soon discovering the year is actually 1973. Rescued on the roadside by a disillusioned political activist named Frank, Alice quickly comprehends the lies that have kept her in bondage and the promise of Black liberation. Inspired by true accounts, Alice is a modern empowerment fable tracing Alice’s journey through the post-Civil Rights Era American South.

The film is written and directed by Krysten Ver Linden, marking her directorial debut, with Peter Lawson serving as producer, Jose Agustin Valdes and Luisa Fernanda Espinosa serving as executive producers under the Steel Springs Pictures banner.

Alice is scheduled for cinematic release in the US on the 18th March 2022. There is no official UK/IRE release date as of yet.
