Variety is reporting that Jessica Brown Findlay and Anthony Welsh will topline the UK drama series Flatshare which is currently in production for Paramount+.

Flatshare tells the story of two twentysomethings trying to get by – by sharing not only an apartment but a bed. Tiffany is a minimum wage worker employed by a clickbait news site and Leon works night shifts in a hospice. To save money, they capitalise on their opposing timetables and time-share their apartment and their bed, with Tiffany sleeping through the night, while Leon is working, and Leon catching up on his sleep during the day, when Tiffany is at her desk in the office. They communicate entire by Post-It note. Despite never meeting, however they soon start to develop feelings for each other.

Jessica Brown Findlay (whose credits include Brave New World and Castlevania) will be playing the role of Tiffany and Anthony Welsh (whose credits include Master of None and The Great) will be playing the role of Leon.

Bursting with wit and heart, ‘Flatshare’ is the perfect love story for a global millennial audience. Adapted for the screen by our incredible showrunner Rose Lewenstein, and helmed by Oscar-nominated director Peter Cattaneo, the creative team is a dream come true. With Jessica Brown Findlay and Anthony Welsh as our leads, we can’t wait for audiences to fall in love with Tiffany and Leon all over again.
Also starring in the series are Bart Edwards, Shaq B Grant, Shaniqua Okwok and Jonah Hauer-King. Bart Edwards (whose credits include The Witcher and Young Wallander) will be playing the role of Tiffany’s ex-boyfriend Justin, while Shaq B Grant (whose credits include Gangs of London and The Box) will be playing the role of Leon’s brother Richie. Shaniqua Okwok (whose credits include It’s A Sin and Small Axe: Lovers Rock) and Jonah Hauer-King (whose credits include World On Fire and A Dog’s Way Home) will be playing the roles of Tiffany’s best friends Maia and Mo.

The series is currently shooting Bristol, but it will also shot in locations such as London and Brighton. Rose Lewenstein is lead writer and executive producer on the series, which is based on the book of the same name by Beth O’Leary. Also involved in the writing team are Sarah Simmonds, Ryan Calais Cameron and Alex Straker. Peter Cattaneo is serving as lead director and executive producer, while Chloë Wick will also be directing a block of episodes. Rhonda Smith will be producing, with 42 producing in association with VIS, Paramount Global’s international studio division.

Flatshare will consist of six episodes.
