Deadline is exclusively reporting that Anjali Bhimani is the latest name to join the cast of Marvel Studios/Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.

The series focuses on Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager based in New Jersey. In the comics, Khan/Ms. Marvel first appeared in 2014, becoming Marvel’s first Muslim superhero to lead her own comic.

The report states that Anjali Bhimani’s role is currently being kept under wraps. Her credits include Marvel’s Runaways and Station 19.

The series is being written by Bisha K. Ali, who also serves as showrunner, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon attached to direct episodes on the series.

Anjali Bhimani will join a cast that includes Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha and Lauren Marsden.
