Variety is exclusively reporting that Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gosatti and Turlough Convery are the latest names to join the cast for the upcoming live-action series of Resident Evil at Netflix.
The official logline for the series is as follows:
Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
The drama series is inspired by Capcom’s hugely popular video game franchise, with Andrew Dabb serving as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the series, with Mary Leah Sutton also serving as writer and executive producer. Constantin Film are producing the project, with Constantin Films’ Robert Kulzer, Oliver Berben serving as executive producers, and CEO Martin Moszkowicz serving as producer.
The trio join a cast that includes Lance Reddick, Adeline Rudolph, Siena Agudong, Paola Nuñez, Tamara Smart and Ella Balinska.
The Resident Evil series will debut on Netflix on the 14th July 2022.
