Blindspotting: LeVar Burton, Katlynn Simone Smith, Tamera Tomakili And Tim Chantarangsu Land Recurring Roles For Season 2

Deadline is reporting that LeVar Burton, Katlynn Simone Smith, Tamera Tomakili and Tim Chantarangsu have signed up for recurring roles for the upcoming second season of Starz drama series Blindspotting.

The synopsis for the first season is as follows:

The series takes place six months after the events of the [2018] film, focusing on Ashley, the partner of Miles, who’s trying to establish a quality middle-class life in Oakland, California. But when Miles is arrested and sent to prison, Ashley and her young son are forced to move in with Mile’s mother, Rainey, and his half sister, Trish. With her world turned upside down while the neighbourhood goes inside out, Ashley must renegotiate her relationship with a town that is caught between two conflicting identities.

The report doesn’t state what roles the new additions will be playing in the upcoming season, but it did add that rappers E-40, P-Lo and Too $hort will guest star as themselves. Filming on the second season is currently underway in Los Angeles and Oakland.

The new additions will join a cast that includes Jasmine Cephas Jones, Rafael Casal, Helen Hunt, Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron, Candace Nicholas-Lippman, Margo Hall, April Absynth, Lance Holloway, Andrew Chappelle and Utkarsh Ambudkar.
