Deadline is exclusively reporting that RLJE Films have acquired the North American rights for the western thriller Murder At Yellowstone City. Initially titled Murder At Emigrant Gulch, RLJE Films have now scheduled the film for cinematic and video-on-demand release on the 24th June 2022.

Set in 1882, the film will follow a former slave who arrives in Yellowstone City, Montana, a desolate former boomtown now on the decline, looking for a place to call home. On that same day, a local prospector discovers gold – and is murdered. The sheriff arrests the town newcomer. But as the mystery of the prospector’s murder deepens, and the town’s earnest preacher questions the accused man’s guilt, a clash between faith and the law threatens to tear the town apart.

Richard Gray directed the film based on Eric Belgau’s script. Gray also produced the project alongside Anjul Nigam (Brittany House Pictures), Kelly Frazier (f8 Films), Robert Menzies (Zed Films) and Lisa Wolofsky. Executive producers on the project are Thomas Jane and Courtney Lauren Penn (Renegade Entertainment), and Carter Boehm.
