During their presentation at CinemaCon, Warner Bros. announced that the Greta Gerwig-directed Mattel film, Barbie, is scheduled for cinematic release on the 21st July 2023, and the later revealed a first look photo via social media.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it’s believed that the film will contain some meta aspects.

The film, which Gerwig has co-written with Noah Baumbach, stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, Ncuti Gatwa, Emerald Fennell, Sharon Rooney, Scott Evans, Ana Cruz Kayne, Connor Swindells, Rita Arya and Jamie Demetriou.
