Media outlets are reporting that Devery Jacobs will be starring alongside Alaqua Cox in the upcoming Marvel Studios series Echo at Disney+.
Maya Lopez, aka Echo, has the ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements or fighting style, making her a formidable opponent in battle. In Marvel Comics, Echo was the first person to hold the title of Ronin before passing it onto Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye. The character made her MCU debut in the Hawkeye series last year.
While Marvel haven’t really confirmed what role Devery Jacobs will be playing (though Cox did tease her joining the cast on Instagram last week), but Deadline is reporting that they hear from their sources that Jacobs will be playing of the leads named Julie, who is resilient and strong willed. Devery Jacobs credits include The Order and Reservation Dogs.
The series is being written and executive produced by Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen.
