Disney and Lucasfilm have released the official trailer for the upcoming Star Wars limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series is written by Joby Harold and directed by Deborah Chow, with them also serving as executive producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan and Ewan McGregor.

The limited series will star Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Indira Varma, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie and Maya Erskine.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+ on the 27th May 2022.
