Netflix have released the latest teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action series based on the video game franchise Resident Evil.
The official synopsis for the series is as follows:
Year 2036 – 14 years after Joy caused so much pain, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and mind-shattering creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the sinister Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
The drama series is inspired by Capcom’s hugely popular video game franchise, with Andrew Dabb serving as writer, executive producer and showrunner on the series, with Mary Leah Sutton also serving as writer and executive producer.
The series stars Lance Reddick, Adeline Rudolph, Siena Agudong, Paola Nuñez, Tamara Smart, Ella Balinska, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gosatti and Turlough Convery.
Resident Evil series will become available on Netflix on the 14th July 2022.
