MGM have released the official trailer for George Miller’s upcoming film Three Thousand Years of Longing.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

A scholar, content with life, encounters a Djinn who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. Their conversation, in a hotel room in Istanbul, leads to consequences neither would have expected.

The film is based on the short story ‘The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye’ by A.S. Byatt. The film stars Tilda Swinton, Idris Elba, Aamito Lagum, Burcu Gölgedar, Matteo Bocelli, Kaan Guldur, Jack Braddy, Pia Thunderbolt, Anna Adams, David Collins and Angie Tricker.

Three Thousand Years Of Longing is scheduled for cinematic release on the 31st August 2022.
