The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that HBO is into early development on its first sequel series to its fantasy drama epic Game of Thrones, which will focus on Jon Snow, and Kit Harrington is currently attached to reprise the role.

In the final season of the series, Jon Snow would learn of his true heritage and in the finale, we’d see him venture North of the Wall with the Wildlings to leave his old life behind.

Kit Harrington has been nominated for an Emmy twice for his portrayal of the character, and seeing him being attached for a potential sequel is somewhat surprising, as is the project itself, as HBO have been fixated on expanding the Game of Thrones universe on television by attempting to get a few separate prequel projects up and running. House of the Dragon will be arriving late in the summer, while one prequel project was ditched after the pilot didn’t sit well with the execs at HBO.
