The Time Traveler’s Wife: Series Adaptation Cancelled After One Season At HBO

Media outlets are reporting that HBO have cancelled the series adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife after one season.


The Time Traveler’s Wife tells the intricate love story of Clare Abshire and Henry DeTamble and a marriage with a problem…time travel.


A HBO Spokesperson released a statement saying:

Though HBO will not be moving forward with a second season of ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife,’ it was our privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter. We are so grateful for their passion, hard work and care for adapting this beloved book. We also thank Theo and Rose, and the rest of our brilliant cast for their heartfelt performances, which completely captivated audiences.


The six-episode series debut in early May, and the finale aired on the 19th June. The series, based on Audrey Niffenegger’s novel, was adapted by Steven Moffat, directed by David Nutter, and starred Rose LeslieTheo JamesDesmin BorgesNatasha Lopez, Caitlin Shorey, Everleigh McDonell, Michael Park, Jamie Ray Newman, Taylor Richardson, Peter Graham, Brian Altemus, Jason David, Kate Siegel, Josh Stamberg, Chelsea Frei, Marcia DeBonis, Will Brill and Spencer House.
