Deadline is exclusively reporting that Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson has signed on to star in Proxima Media’s horror film Skill House, which Jackson will also produce under his G-Unit Film and Television banner.

The film examines media and influencer culture, and what those new to the sphere are willing to do to attain fame.

The report states that Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson will join a cast that includes Bryce Hall of TikTok fame, Paige VanZant, Leah Pipes, McCarrie McCausland, Ivan Leung, Neal McDonough, John DeLuca, Caitlin Carmichael, Dani Oliveros, Emily Mei and Jacob Skidmore.

Ryan Kavanaugh of Proxima Media, released a statement saying:

This film is bursting with mavericks of entertainment, many of them spanning multiple genres and platforms. From a global rap and hip-hop music icon to a businessman, actor, writer, and producer – if anyone knows a thing or two about breaking the boundaries, it’s 50 Cent. I’m honoured to work alongside him as we watch Bryce do the same with his career.

The film, from writer-director Josh Stolberg, is being conceived as the first in a franchise and is currently in production in Los Angeles at the TikTok ‘collab house’ known as Sway House. Alex Baskin (Proxima Media), Amy Kim and Jaime Burke (Lifeboat Productions) serve as additional producers on the film, with Daniel Herther, Jason Barhydt and Bobby Sarnevesht serving as executive producers.

Skill House is being slated for release sometime early next year.
