Signature Entertainment have released the official trailer for the upcoming horror thriller Orphan: First Kill, a prequel to the 2009 film Orphan.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Esther’s terrifying saga continues in this thrilling prequel to the original and shocking horror hit, Orphan. After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous “child” at any cost.

The film is written by David Coggeshall, directed by William Brent Bell, and stars Isabelle Fuhrman, Julia Stiles, Rossif Sutherland, Matthew Finlan, Morgan Giraudet, Hiro Kanagawa, Jade Michael and Samantha Walkes.

Orphan: First Kill is scheduled for cinematic release on the 19th August 2022.
