Deadline is exclusively reporting that their sources have told them that Rafael Casal has signed up for a major role for the upcoming second season of Marvel series Loki.

The series follows the God of Mischief after stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Loki uses it to travel through time and alter human history, but eventually he ends up landing in trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority).

The report comes after set photos for season 2 started to leak this leak, with ones featuring Casal walking alongside Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, with the pair reprising their roles as Loki and Mobius. Rafael Casal’s credits include the Blindspotting film and series followup, as well as Bad Education and The Good Lord Bird. We also know that Sophia Di Martino will be returning.

The upcoming season, which all six episodes have been written by Eric Martin, will have Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead co-directing the majority of the episodes. Hiddleston will be executive producing alongside Michael Waldron.
