HBO have released the latest teaser trailer for the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon.

Based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series takes place two-hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, focusing on House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war to come known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons’.

The prequel is co-created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal, with Condal serving as co-showrunner alongside Miguel Sapochnik.

The series stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Fabien Frankel, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Harry Collet, Ryan Corr, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Will Johnson, John Macmillan, Graham McTavish, Ewan Mitchell, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, Phia Shaban, Gavin Spokes and Savannah Steyn.

House of the Dragon will premiere in the US on HBO/HBO Max on the 21st August 2022, while in the UK it will premiere on Sky Atlantic/NOW on the 22nd August 2022.
