Netflix have released the official trailer for the upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Blonde boldly reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe. From her volatile childhood as Norma Jeane, through her rise to stardom and romantic entanglements, Blonde blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves.

The film is based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, which is adapted and directed by Andrew Dominik, and stars Ana de Armas, Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel, Evan Williams and Toby Huss.

The film will have its world premiere at the upcoming Venice Film Festival, which runs from the 31st August till the 10th September.

Blonde will become available on Netflix on the 23rd September 2022.
