Variety have exclusively revealed a first look image for the upcoming indie period drama Finalmente L’alba, which has just started production at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios.
The film, which translates as ‘Finally, Dawn Has Come’, tells the journey over the course of a long and intense night of an aspiring young Italian actress. In the Cinecittà studios of the 1950s, she experiences some memorable hours that will mark her transition to full blown womanhood.
The film marks Saverio Constanzo’s first directorial feature since 2014’s Hungry Hearts. His other directorial credits during that time include television series such as In Treatment and My Brilliant Friend. His interview with Variety about the upcoming film is worth reading here.
