Deadline is exclusively reporting that Lee Jung-jae is the latest name to join the cast for the upcoming Star Wars/Disney+ series The Acolyte.
The Acolyte is described as a mystery-thriller, which will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. In the Star Wars universe, an acolyte can refer to individuals with force abilities who learn from a more experienced Sith Lord.
The report states that Lee Jung-jae’s role in the upcoming series is currently being kept under wraps. His credits include Squid Game and Deliver Us From Evil.
The series, which was announced back in December 2020, hails from Leslye Headland, who serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner. It’s believed that The Acolyte will commence production later in the year.
Lee Jung-jae will join a cast that includes Amandla Stenberg and Jodie Turner-Smith.
