Disney have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and The Olympians.

Based on the Rick Riordan novel series, the series tells the fantastic story of a twelve-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Jon Steinberg and Dan Shotz serve as showrunners and the series, which stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava, Aryan Simhadri, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Charlie Bushnell and Olivea Morton.

Percy Jackson and The Olympians is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2024.
