Collider is reporting that Joseph Morgan and Cristina Rodlo will be joining the cast for the upcoming second season of Halo.
.
Halo is set in the 26th Century, where humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant are at war, told primarily through the eyes of Master Chief. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.
.
The report states that Joseph Morgan (whose credits include The Originals and Brave New World) will be playing the role of James Ackerson, a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence. Cristina Rodlo (whose credits include No One Gets Out Alive and Too Old to Die Young) will be playing the role of Talia Perez, a corporal specialising in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corp communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.
.
The duo will become new series regulars alongside Fiona O’Shaughnessy and Tylan Bailey, both of whom recurred in the first season. The second season has begun production in Iceland, and will then move to Budapest in Hungry for additional filming later in the year. `
.
The first season starred Pablo Schreiber, Yerin Ha, Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac, Kate Kennedy, Danny Sapani, Olive Gray, Charlie Murphy and Jen Taylor.
