Media outlets are reporting that Minka Kelly, Dermot Mulroney and Maggie Grace have signed on to star in Blackwater Lane, a film based on B.A. Paris’s novel The Breakdown.

The film, which is being billed as a psychological thriller with supernatural elements, follows the story of a woman who drives by a stranded motorist later revealed to have been murdered. After a series of terrifying events, the woman becomes convinced she is the killer’s next victim while her husband, and her best friend, worry about her sanity.

Minka Kelly (whose credits include Titans and Euphoria) will be playing the lead role, Dermot Mulroney (whose credits include Hanna and Hard Luck Love Song) will be playing the husband, and Maggie Grace (whose credits include Fear The Walking Dead and Love, Weddings and Other Disasters) will be playing the best friend.

Production on the film is currently underway in Suffolk, UK, with Jeff Celentano directing. Fowler will be producing alongside Warren Ostergard and Lucinda Thakrar. Alex Lane serves as co-producer. The film is fully financed by executive producer Ron Cundy and Kompros Films with executive producer Phil Hunt of HeadGear and executive producer Norman Merry of LipSync.
