Deadline is exclusively reporting that Alexandra Daddario has signed up to star in the film adaptation of Mason Deaver’s novel I Wish You All The Best, which is being directed by Tommy Dorfman.

The story revolves around a non-binary teen who after being kicked out of the house by their conservative parents and moves in with their estranged sister, embarks upon a journey of self-discovery that teaches them about love, friendship, and family.

The film will mark Dorfman’s directorial debut, and she is also writing the screenplay and producing the project. ACE Entertainment acquired the film rights for Deaver’s novel, and are producing and financing the project. Matt Kaplan will serve as producer for ACE with Aubrey Bendix and Braden Bochner overseeing the project for the company.
