Deadline is reporting that Cristin Milioti will be starring as the female lead opposite Colin Farrell in The Batman spinoff series The Penguin.

The series is set to expand the world that Matt Reeves has created, focusing on Farrell’s Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot in the aftermath of events that occurred in The Batman.

Cristin Milioti (whose credits include Palm Springs and The Resort) will be playing the role of Sofia Falcone, daughter of Carmine Falcone, fighting with The Penguin for control of Gotham city.

The Penguin is being produced by Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Production and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Reeves also serves as executive producer alongside Colin Farrell, Dylan Clark, Lauren LeFranc, Craig Zobel and Daniel Pipski. Rafi Crohn serves as co-executive producer. LeFranc also serves as writer and showrunner, while Zobel directs the first two episodes.
