HBO have released the official trailer for the upcoming series adaptation of the popular video game franchise The Last Of Us.

The Last Of Us is set twenty years after modern civilisation has been destroyed by a sickness that renders victims dangerous, blood-thirsty mutants. Hardened survivor Joel is hired to smuggle Ellie, a fourteen-year-old girl out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, breathtaking journey as the unlikely duo depends on each other for survival.

The series is written by Craig Mazin and stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Jeffrey Pierce, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Anna Torv, Storm Reid, Lamar Johnson, Graham Greene, Elaine Miles, Keivonn Woodard, Melanie Lynskey, Rutina Wesley, Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and Brad Leland.

The Last Of Us will premiere in the US on HBO Max on the 15th January 2023, while in the UK it will premiere on Sky Atlantic on the 16th January 2023.
