A24 have released the official trailer for the upcoming drama film The Whale.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Charlie is an obese six-hundred-pound reclusive English language professor who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption.

The film, which is based on Samuel D. Hunter’s play of the same name, is adapted by Hunter, directed by Darren Aronofsky, and stars Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins and Samantha Morton.

The film is scheduled for cinematic release in the US on the 21st December 2022, and for UK and Ireland cinematic release on the 3rd February 2023.
