Netflix have released the official trailer for the upcoming film Luther: The Fallen Sun.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorising London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

The film is written by series creator Neil Cross, directed by Jamie Payne, and stars Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, Dermot Crowley, Jess Liaudin, Lauryn Ajufo, Natasha Patel and Henry Hereford.

Luther: The Fallen Sun will premiere in select cinemas this month, then become available on Netflix on the 10th March 2023.
