Open Road Films have released the official trailer for the upcoming action thriller Kandahar.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Tom Harris, an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.

The film is written by Mitchell LaFortune, directed by Ric Roman Waugh, and stars Gerard Butler, Olivia-Mai Barrett, Rebecca Calder, Ali Fazal, Navid Negahban, Bahador Foladi, Faizan Munawar Varya, Nina Toussaint-White and Travis Fimmel.

Kandahar is scheduled for cinematic release in the U.S on the 26th May 2023.
