HBO have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming crime drama series True Detective: Night Country, which was originally presented at the Warner Bros. Discovery Press Event.

The official synopsis for this fourth season of True Detective is as follows:

In Night Country, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

Issa López serves as showrunner for the season, and also written, directed, and executive produced all the episodes. López executive produces alongside Jodie Foster, Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mary Ceryak, Mari Jo Winkler, Chris Mundy, Alan Page Arriaga, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, Woody Harrelson, Matthew McConaughey, Cary Joji Fukunaga and Nic Pizzolatto.
